The skies have finally opened for Jet Airways 
after the US Department of Transport cleared Jet to operate flights to America. The clearance comes as a suo-motu action by the US after consulting the US embassy and the CIA on security concerns. With initiation of operational discussions with the Federal Aviation Administration next on its agenda, Jet is well on its way to lock horns with established players like the American Airways, Continental Airways, US Airways, British Airways and Lufthansa in New York and San Francisco sectors.
