he ‘World Economic Outlook 2007’ (WEO), published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has once again rendered the veil off the true characteristics of the supranational organisations–the report has proved that such organisations are nothing more than pawns in the hands of developed countries, with the US being the ring master. As the US think-tank is failing to manage America’s burgeoning current account deficit, the IMF is now attempting to be the knight in shining armour, and the WEO report, their latest sword.
